Season Opener
@ Duncan McLellan Park, Owen Sound
Owen Sound Midget Selects 2 Wiarton Tom Norris Busmen 0
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the 6th inning.

fence in left-center.
Designated Player Chris Fyvie hit a ground ball to third, but the Busmen
made an error putting runners at first and second with nobody out.
Mark Robbins of the Busmen got Tyler Baumber with a strikeout and then
induced catcher Jason Miller to ground out to third.
With two out and two on, Selects Centerfielder Matt Murphy chopped one that
bounced over the head of Robbins and past Wiarton shortstop Perry Solomon to
score Kuhl with what stood as the game winning run.
Moments later, Fyvie scored to make it 2-0 on a wild pitch.
Selects starter Frank Cox threw a complete game one hitter yielding a single
to Wiarton catcher Jerry Lamont in the third inning.
Cox, along with Jamie Simpson and Trevor Wardell, is supplying adult
pitching for the Midgets for their regular season games in the Bluewater
loop.
For Wiarton, Chris Mink started and pitched 4 scoreless innings, giving up 2
hits and striking out 6.
