Minesing Captures 2007 SRFL Title
Wyevale, ON
Minesing Goes Wire to Wire
Minesing completed a stellar season with a 3-1 win in game 6 of the SRFL finals over the Wyevale Tribe on Wednesday.
Minesing got down 2 games to none in the best of 7 final before reeling off 4 straight wins, putting an exclamation point on a season that saw them capture the regular season title with an 16-2 record, while also capturing the Orillia District Fastball tournament title June, and finishing 3rd at the OASA Masters event.
Wyevale who finished 3rd during the regular season came up a little short in defense of their 2006 Championship, but still had a successful season capturing titles in Innerkip, and Elliot Lake, and had top 5 finishes in both Elkland and their own tournament.
Again Congratulations to Minesing on a season well played, and thank you to all players, sponsors, umpires, fans, and everybody else who made the 2007 SRFL campaign the great success it was.
