Schutt Hitmen Impact printing cup 

 Results are set below for the last round of the impact printing cup for the Schutt Hitmen.
 
Shcutt made a slow start after returning home to Altona ballpark last week with the bats not waking up until the
6th Innings.
With some fantastic defence from Gary Hurinui Melbourne Comets still managed to score 2 unearned runs in the 4th.
with Jamie Hurinui hitting a double up the middle in the 6th then scoring on a Alex Bolthio single bring the score back to
2-1 where it remaind for the rest of the game

Scutt Hitmen Western Travel leauge 
 
Hello Al
          Schutt Hitmen played home town rivals Hiway again this week in the western travel leauge
but this time with a better result.
with pitcher Jim Grego returning after playing commitments in Sydney the past week, but still missing
Mike Hurinui the Hitmen woke up there bats for a 5 -4 victory over highway on the main diamond on
saturday afternoon.
The hitmen came out swing a hot bat in the first with a double from lead off Jamie Hurinui who scored on a advanced after a
sac bunt from brother Gary then scoring on a pass ball.
 
The scoring did not resume until the 5th when with 2 out Jamie hurinui again singled then scoring on a Jim Grego Single,
who brought up Brandon Chase hitting a double to the fence. With runners on 2nd & 3rd 5 hitter Alex Bolitho sent a
massive 3 runs shot out over the centre field wall to make the score 5 - 1.
With Highway scratching bat 3 runs to make it a 5 - 4 game Jim Grego closedout the 7th to see the Hitmen take a 15 -2 record
on the season

Schutt Hitmen pitcher takes out Australian Softball Honour 
 
Andrew Evans of the Schutt Hitmen from Melbourne Victoria was named Junior Male Athlete of the Year (sponsored by the Australian Sports Commission).
Evans captained Victoria to the finals at the Australian Under 19 Men’s Fastpitch Championship in January, where he won the pitching award by pitching 38.7 innings the most by any pitcher at a nationals. He performed with exception in the Canberra Skins Tournament for his Melbourne based team and following this was selected into the Open Men’s Development squad for the development series against New Zealand.
It is with great pride that all the players and administrators of the Schutt Hitmen and Sunshine softball association congratulate Andrew and his extreme efforts over the last 12 months.
We look forward to seeing you in a Schutt Uniform for many years to come.
