REGISTRATION DEADLINE REMINDER FOR THE2008 GET IN THE GAME SYMPOSIUM
NORTH YORK, ONTARIO –The registration deadline for Softball Ontario’s Get In The Game Symposium isfast approaching, with only one (1) day remaining before the February 15, 2008deadline. Participants must send in a completed Registration Form to beconsidered registered for the Symposium. Registration Forms areavailable for download at www.softballontario.ca.
To date, twenty-four(24) Softball Associations have committed to sending representatives to thesecond annual Get In The Game Symposium - held at the Sport Alliance Buildingon Saturday February 23, 2008 - with additional Registration Forms arrivingall the time.
Participants in the GetIn The Game Symposium will have the opportunity participate in the developmentof house league softball in Ontario, while at the same time learning how toimprove their own Softball Associations. Participants are given theopportunity to customize their experience at the Symposium, by participatingin a series of topics and discussions including:
- SelectSoftball
- Modifying the Game toHave Fun
- House LeagueCoaching
- Recruiting andRetaining House League Umpires
Participants can alsochoose to attend a new Marketing & Promotions Clinic, and will have theopportunity to learn how to access grant money from The Ontario TrilliumFoundation. The Get In The Game Symposium is a wonderful chance forSoftball Associations to work together to make the game of Softball better atall levels of the game!

Participants will eachreceive a delegate bag containing free promotional materials and informationfrom Softball Ontario. In addition, an Exhibitor Marketplace will takeplace during the lunch-hour featuring Home Run Sports, Marchant’s SchoolSport, HighFive®, and more!
Travel (mileage) andaccommodations will be provided by Softball Ontario for those whoqualify. Participants in the Symposium must register with Lisa Cromptonat Softball Ontario before February 15, 2008.
