SOFTBALL ONTARIO LEVEL III UMPIRES CLINIC

NORTH YORK, ON- Softball Ontario’s Umpire Program ishappy to announce they are hosting a Softball Canada Level III Umpireclinic in North York, Ontario on May 3-4, 2008. Please note this clinic will be heldat the Sport Alliance of Ontario building, 1185 Eglinton Ave ENorth York, ON M3C 3C6. 

This twoday course is essential for any Ontario Umpire aspiring to advance in theirUmpire career. An action packedcourse, the Level III clinic may cover topics including pre-game conferences;appeal plays and ejections/removals. Softball Ontario top notch UmpireInstructors for this clinic include: Mitch Zuk, Softball Canada Fast Pitch Level V Official from Erin, ON and Ray Day,Softball Canada Slo-Pitch Level V Official from Mississauga, ON

In order to attend the Level III Umpire clinic, you must be a fullcertified Level II Official with a minimum of two (2) years experience as aLevel II official. Softball Ontario must recruit a minimum of fifteen (15)participants by April 18, 2008 in order to host the 2008 Softball Canada LevelIII Umpire clinic, so apply today! If the minimum number of participants is not reached by April 18, 2008the clinic will be cancelled. Softball Ontario will continue to accept applications after the deadline providing theminimum of fifteen (15) participants are registered.
Cost: Member: $131.25 ($125.00 + gst $6.25) Non-Member:  $168.00 ($160.00 + gst $8.00)
There will be acancellation fee of $52.50 (including GST) if a participant cancels within oneweek of the clinic.
If the clinic iscancelled due to low registeration numbers, full refunds will be issued toUmpires who have registered for the Softball Ontario Level III Umpiresclinic.
Note: Member meansindividual is a registered umpire with Softball Ontario is the current year or the in theprevious year.
Softball Ontario Mandatory CertificationPolicy-Effective 2002-all umpires Softball Ontario must attend a recognized Umpires clinic everytwo years. Recognized UmpireClinics include:
Attend a Softball Ontario Umpire Refresher Clinic
Attend Softball Ontario Instructor TrainingWeekend
Attend the next highest Umpire Level Clinic in sequence to what theUmpire has already taken
Attend a Softball Canada Blue Convention 
Attenda Softball Canada Mechanics School 
Re-Take the highest level clinic that you have (a Softball OntarioLevel III Umpire may take a Softball Ontario clinic)
Softball Ontario has reserved accommodations for clinic participants at Wyndham Garden Hotel185 Yorkland Boulevard, Toronto, ON M2J 4R2, 416-493-9000 with aroom rate of $109.00 plus GST. Itis the responsibility of participants who require accommodation to book theirown accommodations. Please notewhen making reservation, please state that you with Softball Ontario.
