FAS and Si Senor from Tubac, Arizona hosted the Sonora Mexico National
team in a double header Saturday May 24 at Howard Wisdom Field. A
perfect 80 degree day. It was fastball from yesteryear. Being a
holiday week end families were picnicing, marachi music, food galore,
cold beer and Tequila. This was also perhaps a historical event.
Herb Wisdom working with United States immigration officals was able to
pickup and RETURN a coupe of players to the border. Everyone was a
winner although the games turned out to be mix match work out because
each side lacked pitching. There are two youngers that will be good.
The position player talent is exceptional. I'm talking Cliff, Alex
Villa and Omar Moraga caliber. AW to hit the lottery. Fastball will
continue all summer in Tubac. Tubac is 4000 ft. elavation so the
weather is always great. Al thanks for letting me take up your time and
