The 2008 FARM/NAFA 18 team Open World Series is about to begin this friday with the umpire meeting at 3:30 at the Bowling Green Meeting Room. The Coaches Meeting will be at 4:30 at the Bowling Green Meeting Room. First game times are at 6:30pm with Thomson Area Merchants facing Stoneyard, Herda & Sons facing the Defending AA-Major Champions New Image, the 2005 Open Runner-Up Kegel Black Knights face #6 ranked Townline were were Open Co-Champs in 2006. At 8:15 pm #5 ranked Circle Tap and also Co-Champs in 2006 face Wilber Lime, #4 ranked Casa Trejo Bombers who were the AAA Champions in 2004 faces Bar of Appleton, the #7 ranked MinnDak Millers who were the 2005 Open Champions face #10 ranked Dolan & Murphy, and #8 	 ranked Quad Cities Sox and IAC/Team Rainey square off at 8:15 also. At 10 pm the Defending Champion and #1 ranked Farm faces the winner of Thomson and Stoneyard, also at 10 pm #2 ranked Patsy's faces the winner of New Image and Herda & Sons. The 2007 AAA Champions and #3 ranked Midwest Stampede faces Bar of Green Bay at 10 pm as well.
The Tournament Director is Robert Hernandez and the Umpire-In-Chief is Carley Parish. We have assembled an outstanding group of umpires for this event. Tony Schaaf will be the statistician. Loren Lathrop is in charge of scorekeepers and coin flips. Mike Watson will be doing the bracket board. The Championship game is scheduled for 2pm on Sunday. Come join us for some outstanding men's fastpitch. This event is well worth the admission price of $5 a day.
