Cobourg FORCE wins the OASA Masters Elimination Tournament
Niagara Falls, ON
The Cobourg FORCE won the OASA Masters Elimination Tournament in Niagara
Falls, Ontario this past weekend July 17-19, 2009. The FORCE supported a
4-0 record in the tournament beating last years defending champions, the
Waterloo Classics in the final game Sunday afternoon by a score of 7-0.
The FORCE also won the 2007 OASA Masters Elimination Tournament in
Cobourg, ON but were not able to participate in the 2008 OASA Masters
Elimination Tournament in Niagara Falls, ON. The FORCE did not compete
in any Masters tournaments in 2008.
Currently the FORCE are holders of 2 of the provinces most prized and
gold medal OASA titles - 2008 Men's Elimination crown and the 2009
Masters Elimination crown. Again the FORCE will competing in the 2009
OASA Men's Elimination tournament in Waterloo, ON July 31- Aug 2, 2009
trying to defend their current title. Since 2007 and as part of the
2009 season, the FORCE have won 4 OASA gold medals.
The 2009 OASA Masters tournament consisted of 7 teams competing for the
Masters crown in the province of Ontario.
