At the ISC Hall of Fame breakfast on Sunday, Marley Lloyd presented a poster to infielder Dan Nessler, a class of 2009 inductee, depicting the personable Mankato, MN native “toeing the rubber” in a game featuring Happy Chef Alumni. Lloyd stated that “We didn’t want Dan to feel out of place with those other pitcher-inductees - the pair of Mikes – Piechnik and White.”

Mark Sorenson’s well-turned phrase said to the well-travelled Michael White, who suited up for so many fine softball teams – “You’ve got more clubs than Jack Nicklaus.”

ISC 2009 Hall of Fame inductee Bob Wills, at the HoF breakfast – “I knew I was in the old-timers category when I noticed the Hall of Fame printed program, and I was the only one with a black and white photo.”

Bob “Bongo” Baird – esteemed long-term trainer of so many softball teams at all levels including Team Canada, as well as hockey teams, and acknowledged recipient of 19 various championship medals. The softball community extends its thoughts and prayers to you, as a friend to so many, in combating the dreaded cancer.
