The Passing of Karen Elizabeth Shackleton

It is with great sadness that I inform our friends in the fastball community of the passing of Derek Shackleton's mother, Karen Shackleton. Karen passed away suddenly this morning at University Hospital in London, Ontario.
Karen and husband Glen have spent many years travelling North America and cheering on their son Derek and his teams. ISC Championships, Canadian Championships, AAU Championships, South Perth Championships, you could usually find Karen and Glen and their motor home somewhere near the ball park. They also spent countless hours cheering on their older fastball sons, Mike and Scott during their playing days in St Marys.
I know that I speak for all of our friends and teammates when I say that Karen's presence at the ball park will be sadly missed.
On behalf of the Kitchener Hallman Rivershark Twins and the Sebringville Sting, I would like to express our sincerest condolences to Derek, Amie and the entire Shackleton family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
We will miss you Karen.
