Canadian Teams Sought for 2010 ISF Youth World Cup (Ottawa, ON) Building on the success of the 2009 ISF Youth World Cup held in Prague, Czech Republic, the International Softball Federation has decided to host the 2010 ISF Youth World Cup at their World Headquarters in Plant City, Florida. This year's event will be open to club teams from all regions of the world. Softball Canada is gathering interest from any Canadian teams interested in participating in this world class tournament.
The ISF Youth World Cup is for players in the 16-and-under (Bantam) age category, and guarantees a minimum of six (6) games, opening and closing ceremonies, and a skills competition. The event will take place from
December 30th to January 7th in Plant City, and the entry cost is $500 USD.
Teams from the United States will qualify through various regional qualifiers, while any Canadian or International team can register without qualifying, subject to their National Federation's approval of the team roster. Softball Canada will coordinate with any teams interested in playing in this prestigious international tournament through their local Provincial/Territorial office.
