The Vancouver Grey Sox continued on a positive note this afternoon during
the round robin of the inaugural Bear Country Classic tournament being held
in Prince George, BC.
The Grey Sox defeated the Grande Prairie, Alberta Pride in their second
round robin game by a score of 8 - 2. Winning pitcher was Derek Mayson and
the losing pitcher was Richie Clark. Mayson also homered, and Kevin Boroske
was 2 for 3 in leading the Grey Sox offense.
The Grey Sox return to the field tonight to play their third round robin
game vs the hosts of the 2006 Softball Canada Senior Mens FP National
Championship, the Prince George Black Bears.
The current standings at the 4 team tournament have Vancouver Grey Sox at 2
- 0, Prince George 1 - 0, Portland 0 - 1, and Grande Prairie 0 - 2. Prince
George and Portland are taking to the field at the time of this report.

throughout the course of the weekend.
