Robert Nopara "Chubb" Tangaroa of Hawkes Bay NZ received his Legends keepsake from
Dan Donahue and "Chubb" shared memories of his playing days in North America, citing how much he learned about "this great game of softball". "Chubb" is the inaugural "international" player recognized at the annual Legends event hosted in Kitchener.
Photo #001 - Toronto Gators team-mates Chuck Hendricks, Brian Paton and Adam Smith are re-united for the Legends recognition provided to "Addie", a dynamic 2nd baseman who earned several individual ISC awards during his career. Adam is one of only five players to amass 100 hits in ISC world championship competition, spanning more than a decade, during which he batted .322. Adam recalled how difficult it was to earn a base hit off his fellow honoree "Chubb" Tangaroa.
Two more photos to come tomorrow of other honorees.
