NORTH BAY SENIOR MENâ€ÂS 25TH ANNUAL TOURNAMENT
The tournament is only 4 days away and the excitement and anticipation is climbing . We are in for some most excellent fastball and as in the past years the North Bay population remains great hosts . The food , the beverages , the ambiance and especially the games are something else .We can expect to see such hurlers as Darren Zack ,Mike Crawford and Frank Cox to name just a few . Those attending will be in for a treat .Here in Great North there will be several teams from North Bay as well as Espanola ,Manitoulin Island and two from Greater Sudbury –the Sudbury Relics and the Sudbury Cardinals . I’ll be there all weekend reporting and taking several caption photos .
PARRY ISLAND HAWKS FOURTH ANNUAL FASTBALL TOURNAMENT ( bulletin # 4)
The 4th annual Parry Island Hawks tournament is now only 11 days away . First thing to keep in mind is the first prize for the open division which is $2000 while the runner up collects $1000. We are also looking for masters teams and ladies teams this year . I would like to have the final total of team entries by no later than a week from today or Tuesday September the 6th the first day of school . We will only run a masters and ladies division if we have at least 4 teams or more in each . In this fashion the complete schedule for all divisions should be out by no later than Wednesday September the 7th . All team reps on September the 7th would be advised (by phone,cell or email ) of their first game and time . RICK McDONALD MEMORIAL FASTBALL LEAGUE
We had a good tight exciting first game for the league finals championship last week when the defending champions edged the Pickerel Cardinals 6-4 . We will expect no less on Wednesday night August the 31st at 9PM in Whitefish when the Cardinals will attempt to win game two and tie the series avoiding being down 2-0 and having to win the last three games of the series and dethrone the North Stars . All team reps are reminded to fill in their awards celebration ballots as well as their all star selection and return them to Roger by no later than Wednesday evening . For the Falcons and the Hounds , the ballots will be emailed to you later today and you can return your decisions by email
