Jimm Barr passes

We are sadly passing on the news of the passing of Jimm Barr. He had been on life support since Monday. Apparently he contracted an influenza virus which seriously inflammed his heart within a matter of two days causing it to stop functioning. He was taken off life support Thursday morning after every possible treatment, drugs and shocks could not start his heart.

Condolences to the Barr family.

Barr, James (Jimm) William - Passed away unexpectedly at University Hospital on Thursday, March 8, 2012 in his 65th year. Dearly beloved husband of Diana. Loved father of Nolan. Survived by loving sisters Nora (MacDaniel), Margaret (White), Mary (Bartoch) and brother Paul. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James Street at Richmond where the memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, March 15 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions to the Cardiac Recovery Unit, London Health Sciences Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged.

Visitation

2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday

The memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, March 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond.
