NY Bombers Finish 2nd in Host Cortland Tournament
Cortland, NY – The New York Bombers survived an early tournament loss, before winning 4 straight games to make it to the championship game of the 2012 Cortland Men’s Fastpitch ISC Qualifier Tournament. The Bombers (12-4 overall) suffered an 8-4 loss to Scooters of the Lewis County League, then outscored opponents 24-2 over the next 4 games before suffering a 9-2 loss to pitcher Lucas Mata and the PA Power team. The PA Power earned the ISC World Tournament bid with the tournament victory; the Bombers had previously earned a berth earlier in the season to the ISC World Tournament, which will be held in Midland, Michigan August 10-18. The Cortland tournament was the Bombers lone host tournament of the season.. Last season the Bombers were tournament champions of the event.
The Bombers will next be in action July 7-8 when they travel to Lackawanna, NY for the 2012 Mickey Brennan Memorial Tournament.
