Top women’s fastball teams heading to Oshawa for the CAN-AM Classic
OSHAWA, Ont.- Three of the top teams in women’s fastball will gather at Durham College this weekend as the Lords are set to host the CAN-AM Classic taking place from September 22-23, 2012.
The Monroe Tribunes of Rochester, NY are entering the tournament as the defending CAN-AM Classic champions. They won the tournament in 2010, beating Durham by a score of 6-3 in the finals.
Joining Durham and Monroe for the first time will be Niagara County Community College. The Thunderwolves will be making the trip from Sanborn, NY.
The tournament will begin on Saturday morning as the Lords take on Monroe at 1 p.m. The championship game is scheduled to take place at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
