U10 Softball Event Name has been Selected!
Join us at the Get in the Game Symposium!
Softball Ontario is excited to reveal the winner of the Under 10 Softball Event Naming contest at it’s Get in the Game Symposium next weekend on February 22, 2014 in Mississauga, ON. In July 2013, Softball Ontario put out a call for Softball Players, Coaches, Umpires and Fans to submit a name for the U10 Softball events that are being piloted by Softball Ontario along with OASA, PWSA and ORSA. Each of the U10 pilot events provides an opportunity for U10 players to: Have Fun
- Fair play and team building activities
- Develop Fun and friendly learning atmosphere
- Help kids fall in love with softball
Be Active
- All players have a chance to touch the ball
- Each player bats every inning
- No walks
Develop Skills
- Equal playing time
- Focus on skills over results
- Play a variety of positions
Softball Ontario received submissions/ideas for the new U10 Softball events and narrowed it down to their #1 selection as it captured the principles of LTPD for the Learn2Train stage. The award winner will be presented a Mini Ipad at Softball Ontario’s Get in the Game Symposium that has been scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2014.
