Cobourg Jim Bradford/Neil Cane Invitational
 
We are all set to go this weekend for the 23rd edition of this
tournament .
We may not have many teams for  the ISC qualifier
but I believe it will be a battle.
We have 16 teams playing in two different tournaments.
Six will play in the Major side.
Scarborough Force ,Elmira Expos,CPI Classics,Niagara Snappers,
Napanee Merchants Express and the Ottawa Broker 4 tickets.
 
Games start friday at 7pm with two games and
Two games at 9pm with
Scarborough Force playing the Napanee Merchant Express.
 
The tournament starts saturday at 8.30am with 3 games
and continues all day. The Major games will continue
saturday morning stating at 10.30am and will continue
every two hours on the Jack Bevan diamond with a couple
 of games being played during the day on the
Layton Dodge diamond.
We would like to invite everyone to come out and help support
the Cobourg Legion Minor Ball Association where all the proceeds will go.
 
Come out ,have a COLD one or two,enjoy all the good food
and Cheer for your favourite team.
We have 10 teams in the Intermediate ,Masters and Junior tournament
and here you'll see some of the Greats of the game
Darren Zack,Wayne Wells and many many more.
We will also see some of the new comers in the junior ranks
who will definitly supprise you with their talent.
The Intermediate side will also see some guys that
have been there before and done that.

The Blue  will feature some of the best anywhere and
 quite a few will be in Kitchener for the Worlds.I am very happy
that they commit to come here every year.

INTERMEDIATE RESULTS JUST IN 9PM SUNDAY EVENING!!

In the Intermediate division Colborne squeeked ot at victory by a 7-6 count.
A back and forth game with each team taking the lead. A three run home run by
Jordan Wrightly of Colborne put he Rutherflo team ahead 7-3 in the 6th
and then Curve Lake tried to come back and made it 7-6 .A really good game to watch.
Lots of runs and weren't really sure who was going to come ojut on top.
MVP for the Int,Masters and juniors was Jordan Wrightly and the MVPitcher was Travis Jones.
 
Colborne defeated the Oshawa Bombers 6-5 to advance to the final
and Curve Lake defeated Cambridge Rusty Jiggers 10-0.
Fitzroy Harbour West Carlton Electris defeated the Oshawa Rebels 8-7 to win the B division
final
