New Zealand Black Sox, the six-time men's World Fastpitch Softball Champions, will play in Mississauga on Wednesday June 18, 2014 at Meadowvale North Sports Park against a pair of local teams.

The Black Sox, who are touring Ontario as part of their preparation to defend their International Softball Federation (ISF) World Championship next year in Saskatoon, will play the Mississauga Arrows at 7 pm and the Toronto Gators at 9 pm in a doubleheader.

The Arrows are the defending champions in the Golden Horseshoe Fastball League, having won the GHFL championship in two of the past three seasons, and feature a pair of Team Canada hopefuls in pitcher Kyle Linton and infielder Joel Langford. Both players are attending a Team Canada training camp in Brampton this weekend.

The Toronto Gators are ranked 4th overall by the International Softball Congress among the top club teams in North America. Four of the New Zealand players will suit up for the Gators when their tour with Black Sox is completed.ÂÂ
