The Argentina Men's National Team took both ends of their double header last night in rural Shakespeare, Ontario. The Argentines defeated the hometown Shakespeare Falcons, 3-0 in game one and then shutout a team of South Perth League All-Stars 5-0 in the nightcap.
A crowd of 150 took in the twin bill on a beautiful evening in Southern Ontario.
Argentina is back in action Saturday when they take on the New York Gremlins, 9:45 am in the Hill United Snapper Shoot Out, Lancaster Park, St.Catherines.
Their exhibition tour continues Monday night in Innerkip,Ontario. The New Zealand Black Sox get their first taste of tournament action this evening when they go head to head with ISC Champion Hill United Chiefs, 9:00 pm in the ShootOut in St.Catherines. That tournament opens with the host Niagara Snappers tangling with the Toronto Gators at 7:00 pm.
The Shoot Out runs all weekend with 8 world class teams, two world champions, two National teams and 3 of the top 4 ranked ISC powers in the hunt for bragging rights in this tremendous international softball event. Follow Al's Fastball for updates and scores all weekend.
