                                         BRAD MATHESON LEADS HIS PANTHERS TO A 11-1 VICTORY OVER THE DOG HOUSE

                             There was just a single game played Monday night in Azilda . Dog House first victory of the season last Thursday in Garson as suffered a drubbing of 11-1 at the hands of the 2nd place Panthers . Nine fielding errors was a big reason the Dog House gave up 11 runs ( 6 unearned ) . The winners committed 5 errors themselves . Gary Lamothe ( 4-3 ) started for the Panthers going 5 innings giving up but 1 run (unearned ) on 2 hits and issuing but 1 walk . Brad Matheson came in to finish the last 2 innings retiring the side in both frames . Mike Greslow ( 1-4 ) started for the Dog House going 5 innings giving up 8 runs ( 5 unearned ) on 7 hits and issuing but 1 walk . Bruce McDonnald (0-4 ) came in to pitch the 6th inning giving up 3 runs ( 1 unearned ) and issuing 1 walk ..The game was called after 6 innings because of the 10 run lead mercy rule . Matheson led the way for the Panthers hitting 3 for 5 (3 runs , 3 rib's ) with teammates Owen Peltier ( run) and Calvin Kimewon ( dbl , rbi ) both hit 2 for 4 while the only glimmer for the Dog House was Grant Ems ( dbl , rbi ) went 1 for 3 at the dish . League action resumes on Thursday July the 3rd in Garson at the Lorne Brady Memorial Park with the Garson Hounds playing a doubleheader .In the opener at 7 pm they take on the Dog House Eatery & Sports Bar followed by a 9 pm nightcap when they face the Panthers ..
