     HOUNDS AND NORTH STARS PICK UP ALL THE HARDWARE

          Quentin Seeley fastball boys left with all the hardware in the 40th Vaughan McKay Memorial Tournament played in Elk Lake over the Civic Holiday weekend.
                Garson Hounds won the George Welsh Memorial trophy as they defeated the Frat House boys from Englehart 11-4 in the consolation final. It was a total team effort by the Hounds as everyone chipped in .Todd Parsons led the way in the tournament with 2 home runs , one being a grand slam .Bryan Welsh went 3 for 3 with 4 RBI’s with Marc Bertrand hitting spark being the cornerstone to the Hounds’ success .John Ainslie started 4 of 6 games and he was a workhorse including a game clinching home run in the quarter finals .Rookies Jeremy Welsh and Matt Stadnick showed an incredible skill set over the weekend showing they are players to watch for in the future .
                  In the championship final top team from the Quentin Seeley Remax league , Aquatech North Stars defeated the Burgesville Bears to win the Vaughan McKay Memorial Fastball Championship .No further details were available at press time ..
                   All Ontario Native tournament in 17 days (deadline this Monday August the 11th and the Lions World Senior tournament in 24 days with the deadline set for August the 15th

      SUDBURY AQUATECH NORTH STARS DOMINATE

                    As a follow up to yesterday’s story , we now have more clear details of the team .They won the final by a score of 7-4 and finished the tournament at 6-0 . Three towers dominated in hitting in the person of Heikel Espanosa (800+ 2 home runs)) ,Chad St Cyr (700 + 2 home runs and Denis Dewar (500) . Below you find two photos of the happy team with their trophy .Congratulations gentlemen.
