     THE PAGE QUARTER FINALS ARE IN THE BAG

           The page quarter finals got underway on Monday night in Azalea . In the opener the 1-2 page the defending 12 time champions of the past 14 seasons, the Aquatic North Stars easily disposed of the Garson Hounds 13 to 1 ,They scored a quick 4 runs in the opening frame and never looked back on their way to a crushing defeat of their arch rivals .Carter Jonas (2-1) went the distance for his second victory on 6 hits while striking out 9 batters . Matt Boehm and Pat Brennan combined for the loss . Mike Cain led the charge for the North Stars with a 3 for 4 performance (double) with teammate Ben Bast going 2 for 2 and Lyle Babomcai hitting a two run homer while Bryan Welsh hit 3 for 3 in a losing cause for the Hounds.
                  In the nightcap , the 3-4 page quarter , once again as in their previous match a one run difference made it a 5-4 victory for the Panthers who eliminated the Dog Hose for the season . The one bright light for the Dog House was Jonathan Contin fanning 16 batters , a new league playoff record .Bobby Decosse and Rylan Stolar hit 2 for 3 for the winners while Moe Coutu went 3 for 4 in a losing cause for the Dog House.
                   Its semi final action on Thursday night starting at 8 PM in Garson at the Lorne Brady Memorial park when the Panthers take on the the Garson Hounds .The winner goes on to meet the Aquatech North Stats in a best of three final starting next Monday in Azilda.
