2014 PEEWEE ‘A’ PROVINCIALS  Tavistock played host to an exciting and great tournament. We had a little rain on the Saturday but the teams persevered and we made it through the day. Napanee was the undefeated team and made it to the finals.  The teams were all evenly matched and played great ball. Probably the highlight game to me was Game 5 with Cobourg playing Shallow Lake. Owen Torrie pitched to 23 batters allowing only 1 hit (a home run by Cameron Bruce) getting 17 strike outs and no walks. It was Owen’s strong pitching which brought Shallow Lake to the finals and forced Napanee into the ‘WHAT IF’ game.  It was great to see the players having fun and making new friends – one of the reasons why OASA is an important factor in our childrens lives. Sure it’s great to win but it’s also great to make friends.  Well done!  Napanee took Gold Shallow Lake took Silver Kitchener-Waterloo took Bronze  I look forward to seeing these teams perform next year.  Randy Bridge
