Â
theswitchMONEYBALL 2015 is shaping to build on the success of the inaugural premiere men's fastpitch tournament staged in 2014. We have set challenging goals and aspire to achieve these.
Â
To recap- Our Goals:
Even larger prize money for the Open Men's competition
Double the amount of juniors to be coached directly from our elite Aussie Steelers representatives
Double the amount of Masters to be involved
Â
Our Commitments:
To remain a player oriented tournament in all aspects of tournament design and delivery
To respond to feedback from the inaugural 2014 theswitchMONEYBALL to strengthen our tournament
To have no increase to our fee structure
Â
To deliver a bigger, better and more professional tournament we are challenging the Asian Pacific softball community to step up to the plate.
Â
The challenge:
For 10 Open Men's teams from our region to enter so we can boost the first prize money to minimum $10,000 cash!
To ensure all nomination fees are received on time to avoid late fees
To play the hardest ball around- day and night!
Â
We can confirm that there has been early interest both from teams that attended last year along with multiple new teams, including what could only be described as the strongest line-up in Australia!
Â
We can also confirm that it will certainly be a super weekend of sport with all the NRL and AFL preliminary finals action being broadcast in your friendly bar area!
Â
Additionally, we are currently working with a number of accommodation suppliers to secure deals on accommodation to keep costs to a minimum for all travelling teams..
