ISC slashes entry fee for ISC U21 Championship
Â
April 20, 2015 Findlay, OH - In an era of rising prices, the International Softball Congress is bucking the trend, announcing that it is cutting entry fees and offering rebates for teams that enter its annual ISC U21 Championship Tournament.
Â
Teams submitting an entry prior to July 1, 2015 will pay only $250 for an opportunity to play alongside the best players in the game. Additionally, after they successfully complete the tournament, teams will receive a $150 rebate from the ISC, effectively making the entry fee a very attractive $100.Â
Â
"Let's invest in the future of the game we all love, said Charlie Smith, ISC Treasurer and chairman of the Carrol Forbes Foundation, which will help sponsor the ISC U21 Championship and underwrite a majority of the costs.
Â
"This is the best investment we can make into the game by showing the U21 players and team officials the excitement that comes with the ISC and giving the U21 players a chance to witness the conclusion of the ISC World Fastball Tournament at the same", said Smith.
Â
The 69th annual ISC World Fastball Tournament will be held at the Belleville Sports Complex in South Bend, Indiana August 8-15, 2015 with the ISC U21 Championship running over the final three days. Thursday, Friday and Championship Saturday typically showcase many of the best men's fastball games of the season with the Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight and Final Four all competing hard for the Carrol Forbes Trophy, emblematic of the ISC World Champions.
Â
Over 60 men's and U21 teams are expected to compete in four different divisions during the week.
