What a day at the ball park yesterday. Seven great games with teams fighting for their lives. A huge win by the home team in front of the largest crowd to see a softball game ever in the city 7800 (as well as a couple dozen watching in amazement from the highest point in the grandstand at the baseball field). Read all about it in Edition 9 of Champ’s Chatter.

We have some amazing matchups for today’s games. Canada vs New Zealand at 5:30 , what more can you say. That matchup has been part of championship history since Canada first attended in 1968. At 3:00 Venezuela can enact some revenge upon Dominican Republic who knocked them out of the top 2 in pool play. Australia and Japan at 12:30 will also be a rematch of an exciting 1-0 preliminary round game won by the Aussies.
