Canadian Women's Softball Team Ready
to Compete at XVII Pan American Games

(Ajax, ON) The Canadian Women's Softball Team is ready to compete at the XVII Pan American Games in Ajax, ON and will open the event with a game against Brazil at 4:30pm EDT today, July 19. The event will feature six teams, including Brazil, Canada, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and the United States.
 
The Canadian Women’s Softball Team has finished fourth at the last two WBSC Women’s World Softball Championships after winning Bronze in 2010, and has won four consecutive Silver medals at the Pan American Games. The team features five Olympians from the 2008 Olympic Summer Games in Beijing, as well as seven returnees from the 2011 Pan American Games Guadalajara, Mexico.
