AlsFastball is NOT in South Bend for the 2015 ISC World Tournament

More to the point, I am not in South Bend, Indiana this week.

I have delayed writing this as I was hoping to just sit back and be a fan this year and watch the action from home.

But as it turns out I am getting dozens of emails each day from fans and even ball players at the park and their hotels asking where to find information on the tournament.

The ISC has announced that their new website address is www.iscfastpitch.org

Pretty well everyone knows that but the emails I am getting are from fans looking to find specific information on game results, game schedules, streaming schedules, past World Tournament stats, bios on Hall of Famers and the list goes on.

As best I can, I have been pointing people to the information they are looking for but with the emphasis on the new ISC site address, www.iscfastpitch.org

The old ISC site is still operational but will not be for very much longer, all the contents from the new site will replace the old site within a very few days.

I have been asked if all the ISC history will be moved over. Frankly, I do not know, this has not been shared with me, but I certainly hope so. There are over 10,000 pieces of ISC history (news reports, stories, pictures, annual world tournament stats, etc) on the old site to be moved over.

 

So the facts are:

I am not in South Bend, Indiana

I have nothing to do with the new ISC website, www.iscfastpitch.org it was designed by another company and I was not involved.

I have absolutely no responsibilities in regards to the new ISC website.

My own site, www.alsfastball.com is still operational and our primary goal is to promote the game of softball including ISC fastball.  We are using alsfastball.com and my Twitter account to promote the game in general and the ISC World Tournament specifically. We have not fully decided as yet on the future of AlsFastball, but we hope to continue it for at least the remainder of 2015.

 

This message today is due to the high volume of emails regarding the new ISC website that I have been getting, with people asking for help and trouble accessing some information.   Please contact the ISC Executive Director for questions pertaining to the new site.   Not being involved in the new site, I cannot be of any help and my annual score page (Schedule and Results) is not being operated.  I am sorry I cannot help but, please contact those in charge with ISC website questions.

 

On a more personal note, I was delighted to see that my good buddy Gary Baughman, the long serving ISC Statistician was inducted into the ISC Hall of Fame on Sunday morning along with a stellar group of fastball legends. Well done Gary! I hope my empty chair has a good view of the main diamond.

As of today, August 18, 2015 the new ISC website has started to show up in place of the old website.

It may take several days for the new site to propagate iteself on all the web servers world wide but shortly everyone typing www.iscfastpitch.com will see the new site.

Several fans have asked if all the old stats, and history will be moved over to the new site. I am not sure on that question however I would hope that all the valuable history of the ISC will be moved over. Please address all questions to the Executive Director of the ISC on that and related questions.
