Doreen Dalton tournament opens in Lower Hutt

The first games in the premier one men’s Doreen Dalton softballtournament at Fraser Park, Lower Hutt were played out tonight with the opening round completed.
In the feature game this evening Miramar have come out on top over HuttValley Cardinals with a 3-2 tie breaker victory. Other results saw Johnsonville defeat Hutt Valley Dodgers 7-0 and Kapiti beat Stoke ofNelson 7-1.
The tournament will run throughout the long weekend with the 14 entered teams split into two sections for round robin play ahead of the final on Monday.
