OIWFA Streams Provincial Championships

October 14, 2015

Guelph, ON

GUELPH, ON - The Ontario Intercollegiate Women's Fastpitch Association (OIWFA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with SportsCanada.tv and Adams and Associates that will provide live streaming and play by play of this year’s OIWFA Provincial Championships.

Being hosted by the Queen’s Gaels, the top eight Ontario University softball teams will compete at the Napanee Fairgrounds in Napanee, Ontario on October 16-18 to claim the 14th OIWFA Championship.

SportCanada.tv will be broadcasting six round-robin games of the OIWFA Championships presented by Adams and Associates, featuring all eight teams, and three medal round games; to ensure that all fans can catch some great fastball action as the 2015 season will officially come to a close.

This year's streaming will provide the absolute best in amateur sports broadcasting. SportsCanada.tv has provided streaming to large scale events such as the Canada Games, Western Canada Games, a variety of National Championships and is no stranger to the game of softball, having provided streaming to the 2014 Junior Men’s World Softball Championships.  Commentary will be provided by Kyle Smith, Joe Todd, and Blair Setford from Ballpark Radio. These individuals have become the voice of softball around the world. We are pleased to also have them as the official play by play voices and ambassadors for the OIWFA. Smith will also act as the emcee for the OIWFA Banquet to be held on Saturday evening at the Days Inn in Kingston.

In an effort to offset the costs associated to the student-athletes for this streaming, the OIWFA has set up a Go Fund Me page for any donations to support the OIWFA to continue the online broadcasting. Although not a requirement to watch, viewers are encouraged to many donations of any amount which go directly to the OIWFA’s streaming fund for this and future events. Donations can be made through https://www.gofundme.com/OIWFA
