Cleaning up Links on AlsFastball

Since we launched our new AlsFastball website in November of 2015 we have been busy concentrating on the delivery of fastball news each day through the new site. Since we announced our new site, we have grown from an average of 3,000 hits per month, to 2,000 to 3,000 per week!

THANK YOU to all the fine people in our game who send us #fastball news on a regular basis and to the people who visit our site every day to read the news.

It tells the story of how we got to where we are today promoting the game we love. It also highlights our new AlsFastball logo, which many of our Friends have already added to their own websites as a kind gesture to link back to us.

This is the logo we would like ALL our friends to use on their link back to us!

 

One little project that we have delayed is the cleanup of links on specific pages like our Links page.

We have been adding these to our website for years and sadly things change, so many of the links are no longer valid. In some cases, as we find the expired links, we have found a new, replacement link and made the change. There are many more however where we have not been able to locate a replacement link.

In the case of websites promoting major events, like past Canadian championships and international tournaments, the host who originally set up the site has not renewed their webiste and it is gone forever. In some cases we have just removed the link but left the tournament dates, location, and title.

In the case of teams and leagues with websites, many links no longer work and this is where YOU come in. If you see your club or team listed and the link no longer works, please let me know if you have a new link for your site or if its not going to be replaced.

Our New Logo:

The official Al's Fastball logo is the black one.

I would have folks use:
http://www.alsfastball.com/uploads/digital_assets/alsfastball_logo_black_trans.png


The other logos are variations for promotions or effects.

We created a few others in the event that for example, a friend's website had a dark background and needed a lighter logo. But for most cases they should use black if they are linking back to you.

If folks want to use other colors for articles or effects, then they can use:

• alsfastball_logo_gold_trans.png
• alsfastball_logo_gray_trans.png
• alsfastball_logo_white_trans.png

All of these are also 863x671.
