Innerkip, ON - ISC Canada East Innerkip Qualifier Wrap-Up
Another extremely successful ISC Canada East Qualifier weekend is in the books with two undefeated champions in Toronto Gators and New Hamburg Mustangs.
For the Gators, this is their second dominating win in the past three years. Sean Cleary showed why he's Canada's ace, going 3-0 over 19 innings, giving up only 11 hits and one earned run while striking out 34. Jeremy O'Reilly, Brandon Horn and Ryan Boland paced the Gators attack, which outscored the opposition 32-5.
To win the U21 title sponsored by Armitage Technologies, New Hamburg Mustangs edged Stratford Cubs in a see-saw extra innings thriller Sunday afternoon that ended up 8-7. Dylan Lebold picked up three of the four wins for the Mustangs while Nick Penner and Matt Zilke led the offence.

We are blessed with many of the game's best players, sponsors, officials and fans who combine to make our events top notch season after season. THANK YOU to everyone who supported the tournament this weekend!
Our hosts. Innerkip Minor Ball/Innerkip Parks & Rec, not only brought us three straight glorious days of sunshine and warmth, they kept the beverages ice cold, fed everyone with terrific ballpark food and kept the diamonds in great shape. The Innerkip Sports Park is quickly becoming recognized as being one of the very best facilities in southern Ontario and deservedly so. Huge thanks to Peter and his staff for making us feel at home.
Special thanks to ISC UiC Bruce Bierman who put together a truly all-star Blue Crew for this weekend consisting of Mike Brito, Mike Brousseau, Earl Cheasley, Lou Davis, Rob Deakin, Fred Malatches, John Snook, Rob Straetmans, Trevor Topping, Rick Wysynski & Mitch Zuk. A great job as always!
ISC Statistician Gary Baughman continues to amaze us! Working from photos of the scorebooks emailed to him, Gary scored all 31 games this weekend, and produced a fully comprehensive stats pack for both divisions. A big thank you to Gary from all of us!
