Nominate a Fast Pitch Umpire for the Canadian Indicator Club

NOMINATE A FAST PITCHUMPIRE FOR THE CANADIAN INDICATOR CLUB

 

NORTH YORK, ONTARIO - Softball Ontario is actively seeking Fast Pitch Umpire nominations for theCanadian Indicator Club Umpire Recognition Award.  Three (3) Ontario FastPitch Umpires will be inducted into the Club at the Blue Convention 2007 in Quebec.

 

Theobjective of the Canadian Indicator Club is to acknowledge contributions madeby individual umpires to the officiating program across Canada.  Nominated Umpires must meet the following conditions:

 

·   Conduct on and off the field is such thatthe official is a positive role model for younger officials

·   Have a minimum of ten years of continuousumpiring and registration with both the provincial/territorial association andSoftball Canada (Must be presently registered with Softball Canada)

·   Be active in the umpiring program;examples would include serving as an evaluator, instructor,provincial/territorial Umpire in Chief or Deputy Umpire in Chief

 

Awardwinners receive a high quality medallion and have his or her name listed in theSoftball Canada Rule Book.  Recipients also receive one (1) free ticket tothe Blue Convention 2007 Banquet where they receive their medallion; however,attendance at the banquet is not mandatory. 

 

Tonominate an umpire for the Canadian Indicator Club, submit a completedNomination Form to Stephanie Sutton at Softball Ontario no later than December8, 2006.  Please note that Level V Umpires are not eligible to receivethis award.

CanadianIndicator Club Umpire Recognition Award winners will be announced in Quebec City at the Blue Convention Awards Banquet, April 6-8, 2007.
