WOW What a week in Fastball. Started on Monday the 29th in Azzano Italy. The European Super Cup Club teams from all over Europe compete. There are 2 titles to be won. Title one, The Super Cup. 18 TEAMS are divided into 3 Pools. The top 3 teams after the round robin compete for the Super Cup. The bottom 3 teams compete for the ESF title. The reason I follow this event is several ISC World Tournament players go there to Play. Ben Enoka from the Toronto Gators played for a team from Denmark. Max Montero was the winning pitcher for Lupi Roma the winners of the Super Cup portion. Sebastien Gervasutti also pitched for Lupi Romo. Juan Potolicchio was the main pitcher for Junior Alpina from Italy they finished second in the ESF portion of this event. Roman Goday pitched for 2nd place in the Super Cup Brasschaat Braves from Belgium. Shawn Koster and Ales Jetmar also threw in this Event.

WOW moves on the a very competitive Canadian Men's Championships held in St. John's, NL.  Congratulations to 5 time champions.

Great games over and over again. Congratulations to St. John's 3 Cheers Pub winners of the Masters portion of this event. Watched almost every game and kept score of the games streamed. Really good pictures and commentary.

 

WOW Now go to my event The Durk Sherman Memorial held in Elkland PA.   Posted every score and box score on Al's Fastball. You ask how did I do that. Well Hervey Hand huge Elkland fastball fan sent me the reports he posted on Fans of Elkland Fastpitch and I forwarded them to Al. Al was kind enough to post them. Hervey sent me pictures of each game sheet. I put them in my computer and sent the boxscores to Al to post. DISCLAIMER: Remember I am at the mercy of the score keepers. Most did not mark pitching changes. Hervey let me know about them so I was more accurate. It is hard to read the scorers minds from Iowa when they are in PA.

  Congratulations to Farmersville for their win over the New York Bombers. I did not know who won the individual awards. I found out this morning when I went to read my and Herveys work. 

 

Rich Sauder Farmersville was the MVP    He had 15 ab  got 10 h with 2 hr and8 rbi

Duane Weiler Farmersville was the MOSP  He went 4-1 32.1 ip 50  k  3.03 era

 

Excellent event, Hope to do all of the Elkland events next year. This was my 12th event I have worked. I will do at least 1 more, the Laverne Reichart Ontario Challenge Cup. Being played in London ON AT Glanworth Park September 16 to 18th.  Hope I get good scorers and great pictures form Blair Setford and Joe Todd.
