Carrol Forbes Foundation Scholarship Program
At the annual 2006 Board of Directors meeting of the International Softball
Congress a resolution was passed that created a Scholarship Program in the
Amount of $500 to be awarded each year beginning in 2007 to a player that is
affiliated in the ISC Developmental Programs and has completed at least one
semester in college. The scholarship shall be funded from the proceeds of the
Carrol Forbes Foundation Fund. Application for this scholarship can be down-
loaded from the ISC web site.
The International Softball Congress has awarded the first scholarship to Andrew
Putnam from Cambridge, Ontario. Andrew is currently enrolled in his 4th year at
the University of Waterloo in Recreation and Business program, in the faculty of
Applied Health Sciences. He was affiliated with the Waterloo Red Dogs in 2002
and with the Scarborough Wolverines in 2006, which were a part of the ISC
Developmental Program. All of the members of the International Softball Congress
congratulate Andrew Putnam and wish him well in his future endeavors.
