Well Blair Setford announced the end of the fastball for this year but he forgot about the various leagues still playing holding their play offs.  As all of you know, I record scores from tournaments from around the world. As long as they include winning and losing pitchers for each game. After The Laverne Reichert Memorial Ontario Challenge Cup I have recorded 67 tournaments.  I hope to get 1 more. The Amigos tournament in Hayward CA November 12th and 13th is the last event on Al's schedule for this year. After that it will be a long cold winter till the next games to record. I have emailed Fred Williams to allow me to do his event as I have done 13 others this year.  Hope he lets me. 

 

I also follow 7 leagues. League 1. Golden Horseshoe League Niagara Falls ON. Great League some very good teams. I went to the web site this morning. I guess the league ended August 8th as those were the last results published. Do not know if there were more games scheduled. Do not know if there are playoffs. They just dropped off the fastball map. Too bad as I said it is a good league. 

League 2 Greater Ottawa Fastball League. They have a web site but I prefer to follow them on the Eastern Ontario Blog, Great place to get fastball news. At length articles on almost every game. Stats. They also cover various tournaments. Do a great job. They are near the end of their playoffs. Scheduled on September 25th is the Quyon Combat Flyers vs Ottawa Kars Aces. Loser is 3rd Place winner plays Micksburg Twins on September 30th. For 1st Place. If Micksburg loses then the If game will be played. 

League 3 Oshawa and District League This league to have dropped off map. Found nothing on their web site since August 8th. Several World Tournament pitchers threw in this league.

League 4  South Perth League Finished League schedule and play offs  Mitchell Mets won the League playoffs. Very good league got pitchers for every game.

League 5  St. John's NL  Intermediate League Got pitchers for all games from their website. Great site they have lifetime stats for the Senior league.  In Play offs Quarterfinals. 

League 6  St. John's NL Senior Men's  In playoffs Semi-finals going on. Got all pitchers for their games as well.

League 7 Tri County Men's Fastball League. They are in their playoffs. Probably 25 % of their games did not file game reports. Pretty good league but lax in reporting pitchers even in play offs. Innerkip Expos won the Ontario Challenge Cup this year. Missing their pitchers for several regular season and playoff games.

 

Been a great year. Although I am very sad to lose three teams The Toronto Gators I.S.C. Champions, The Toronto Master Gators I.S.C. Legends Champions and Whitby ON Durham Bulls  2015 I.S.C. Legends Champions. Hate to lose great teams. Thanks for the memories I have from all three of you.  I enjoyed doing those 13 events hope to do even more next season.   I love this game and so enjoy promoting it as well as I can with the help of my  very good friend  Al Doran without whom I would not be able to do what I do.

Thanks to all of the scorers that  of the games they sent to me to do.  Did pretty good will send scoring tips to all events next year. The scorers are the eyes to the games for me and I appreciate their hard work.  Thanks to all that let me work their event hope they let me next as well.
