Sydney Redick was named MVP at the Ontario Summer Games Softball Tournament pitching 21 innings in playoff rounds, 3 games back to back.  In those 3 playoff games she struck out 41 batters, gave up 3 walks and had 5 earned runs against her.  Sydney also had a strong .380 batting average and earned 5 RBI's.  Redick played for UTM Revolution U16 Bantam Tier 1 team who captured the bronze medal at the Games. 

 

Ally Cumming was named Top Batter at the Ontario Summer Games Softball Tournament earning a .638 batting average over 6 games including 8 singles, 3 doubles, 3 triples, 7 RBI's and scoring 7 runs herself.  Ally also played a strong error free defense in Centre Field.  Cumming played for the Byron Blaze Bantam Tier 1 team who captured the gold medal at the Games.   

 

Redick and Cumming started out playing the game of softball in Alvinston as teammates at an early age and continued playing together for many years in Alvinston and Enniskillen.  

 

Redick will be returning to UTM Revolution U16 Bantam Tier 1 for the 2017 season.  This team has just wrapped up their 2016 fall season with a recent trip to Syracuse, NY for the the Home Run Showcase tournament at Herkimer University where UTM finshed with a 1-1-1 record.  

 

Cumming has joined the Mid-Michigan Fire Stix U16 Cruthers team based out of Swartz Creek, Michigan for 2016/17 season.  They recently traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to a USA Elite Select World Qualifying tournament where they placed 2nd.  This has earned the Fire Stix a berth to the USA Elite Select World Championships in Kansas City, Missouri in 2017.  The Fire Stix will also be competing in the Top Gun Titan Invitational in Evansville, Indiana at the end of October to round out their fall season.
