Hi Everyone,
Please find the schedule for this year's Spagnuolo-Schwab Memorial
Men's Fastpitch Tournament in the attached file. This year's
tournament will include 16 teams separated into 4 pool play brackets.
After pool play concludes on Saturday evening, teams will be split
into single-elimination A, B, or C playoff brackets - to be played on
Sunday.
The event is sponsored by the Schaefer & Bierlein Fastpitch Softball
team. We are very excited to host this tournament for the 16th year.
Mike Spagnuolo and I ran this tournament together for the first 14
years of the tournament before his untimely passing last spring. Spag
was an avid softball player (including MVP pitcher of the inaugural
2002 ISC II tournament in Kitchener Ontario), a family-man, and a good
friend. Whether you are a player, a coach, a family member, or just a
fan, we want to welcome you to Frankenmuth and encourage you to enjoy
competitive men's fastpitch softball in Spag and Pete Schwab's honor.
This year's tournament will be held in Heritage Park at the same time
as two other events on Saturday (both supported by our sponsor
Schaefer & Bierlein): FrankenMudder & Schaefer and Bierlein Jeep
Fest.
The FrankenMudder is a charity event in support of the Michigan’s
Military & Space Heroes Museum. It is a 3-mile “boot camp†style run
featuring 17 challenging obstacles – some more formidable than others-
that involve climbing, running, crawling, swimming…and of course MUD.
A portion of the obstacle course will run along the Cass riverbank
between 8a-12p on Saturday morning during the softball games (yes,
right near to the fields). Perhaps your spouses/significant others
may want to participate in this great event??? For more information

S&B Jeep Fest celebrates all things Jeep. This year's event will
expand to be at the Harvey Kern Pavilion in Frankenmuth’s Heritage
Park from 12-6p on Saturday (right across from the softball fields).
There will also be a "Jeep Course" at Schaefer & Bierlein Jeep just up
the road. Register your Jeep, and you’ll get a free meal from the
Frankenmuth Brewery (1 per registered Jeep). Schaefer & Bierlein,
Mopar, Jeep, Ironman Offroad, ACE Engineering, Vehicle
Accessories/BDS, Unlimited Offroad, Barnum RG Auto Salvage will be
there sponsoring raffles, answering questions, and will be selling and
showing off some of their special projects/accessories to show you
what they can do. Also, the Frankenmuth Brewery will be catering the
event with both food, BEER, and soft drinks too. If you own a Jeep, I
highly encourage you to considering bringing it to the tournament.

between 8a-6p while the extra events are going on in Heritage Park.
