Fingal, ON - - Aces Lose at Home 2 - 0

Game 5 Now Wed Night In Fingal

The fans were treated to another great fastball game on Sunday night, as St. Thomas traveled to Alvinston to face the Aces.

The game was scoreless until the 5th inning, when Josh Tetreau drove home Brady Stafford for the first St. Thomas run. Kevin Lynch then doubled in the gap, but Andy Triest and Rowan Lam combined together to get Tetreau out at home. Jeff Ingram would end up singling home Lynch with 2 out to make it 2-0 St. Thomas.

Alvinston threatened in the sixth when they left the bases loaded, unable to score. In the seventh inning, with one out, Andy Triest and Calvin Ritchie had consecutive singles to put runners on first and third, but the Aces were unable to get the big hit off of St. Thomas ace, Ryan Cummings.

Taylor Degraw was the hard luck losing pitcher for Alvinston, allowing only 2 earned runs on 5 hits in 7 innings of work. He walked four batters, and struck out 10. Cummings allowed 5 hits and 4 walks, with 7 strikeouts in 7 innings of work for St. Thomas, as he was the winning pitcher.

Game 5 goes Wednesday  night in Fingal at 800pm. A league winner will be declared Wednesday  night, as the series is tied 2-2.
