Cambridge to host 2018 OASA Men's Masters & Legends Provincials

December 21, 2017

Cambridge, ON - - Cambridge to host 2018 OASA Men's Masters & Legends Provincials

The 2018 Ontario Amateur Softball Association Masters (40+) and Legends (50+) Provincial Championship will be changing venues for this year. The tournament was originally slated for St. Clements, hosted by Waterloo Legends and Twin Centre Minor Softball.

However, due to a scheduling conflict with Twin Centre playing at the Provincial Bantam championship that weekend, they were unable to host the tournament and the OASA were forced to find another venue.

Roddy Fevreau and Cambridge Sportsplex stepped up to the plate and offered to host for 2018 on the same dates: July 20-22.

Tournament director Mike Goodridge and Legends host Sammy Forbes both agreed that it was very important to keep the tournament in the Kitchener-Waterloo area which is relatively central to the 40+ and 50+ teams.

"I wish to thank Trevor Hehn and Twin Centre for all the work they have done the past 2 years as host in St. Clements and look forward to returning in 2019", said Goodridge.
