Elkland, PA- The Elkland Fastpitch Team finally was able to come up with some help in the pitching department, adding pitcher and ISC World Class Hitter Greg Garrity to their roster for the 2007 season. Garrity comes to Elkland after spending the last two seasons with Keatings Fitness.

In the last two seasons with the Fitness Men, Garrity played in 67 games, batting .357 with 17 homeruns and 48 RBI’s. On the mound with Keatings, Garrity compiled a 16-12 record, with 211 strikeouts in 155.1 innings. Garrity also had a 2.83 ERA for Keatings in 35 appearances on the mound.

Last Season Garrity was an ISC 1st Team All-World Team selection after hitting .667 with 3 homeruns and 10 RBI’s in 4 games at the 2007 ISC World Tournament. Over the past 3 seasons at the ISC World Tournament, Garrity has appeared in 13 games, and has attained a combined .410 batting average with 4 homeruns and 16 RBI’s.

Garrity provides help in two areas for Elkland, pitching and hitting. As a pitcher, Garrity will help Elkland, along with Hugh Hillhouse, establishing them as having two legitimate starting pitchers. On the offensive end, Garrity gives Elkland much needed offensive support and will bat in the middle of the batting order.

Garrity becomes the third former ISC All-World player to play with the Elkland Fastpitch Team during its history. Former ISC All-World players Paul Algar and Shawn Rychcik have also played with Elkland in the past two seasons.
