Denmark, WI - - Boys of Summer 2018

Boys of Summer 2018 - July 6-8 - Teams

Hello all,

I’ve attached the schedule for the 2018 Boys of Summer Open.  And here is a PDF copy suitable for printing.

Thank you again for participating.  Many of you have been part of this tournament for several years and I think a couple of you from the very beginning.  As I’m sure you all know by now Circle Tap will be hosting the 2019 ISC World Tournament and with that the Village of Denmark has made the necessary changes to the diamonds to be compliant with ISC standards.  With that, this will be the final year we will be utilizing the diamonds in the Village of Maribel.  We thank them very much for the use of their facility over the last several years, but we are elated to move back to Denmark for the 2019 BoS and ISC World.  While you are in the area we encourage you to drive through Denmark and take a look at Memorial Park which will be the site of Fields 2 and 3 for the ISC and of course the Circle Tap diamond will be the main field.

If you haven’t seen the Circle Tap facility yet, huge upgrades were made to field and viewing areas.  A video of the changes can be seen on Circle Tap Dukes Facebook page if you are interested.   The scorebook/concession stand was brand new for the 2017 season.  This spring in ground dugouts were put in, new concrete around the first base to third base areas, brand new permanent bleachers were added both on the third base side and between the concessions stand and deck.   All new fence was put around the diamond itself and the outfield fence is now 16 feet tall.  Brand new scoreboard is also in the outfield.  A new deck will be forthcoming yet.

Best of luck to you in the 2018 season.  If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, please let me know.  We are certainly open and want to provide you with the best possible tournament experience possible.  We pride ourselves in running the best tournament we can and hope you enjoy your time in Northeastern Wisconsin.

Also, if you could please supply me with which hotel you are staying at and how many rooms you are booking that information is much appreciated as we prepare to host the 2019 ISC.   I pushed out some information about the Country Inn and Suites on Kepler Drive in Green Bay.  That will be the host hotel for the 2019 ISC and will be fully renovated.  It is a very nice facility with easy access to the freeway to take you to Denmark and is only about a 10-12 minute ride.
