TEAM CANADA IS COMING TO SASKATOON!

Canada’s Junior Men’s National Softball team will be coming to Saskatoon, starting tomorrow. The team will be in full preparation mode for the 2018 WBSC Jr. Men’s’ World Softball Championship July 7- 15 in Prince Albert. They will hope to improve on their 4th place finish in the 2016 championship in Midland, Michigan. This team will feature a pair of Saskatchewan athletes. Troy Kosmynka from Warman plays for the U19 Delisle Poly Plus Pride team in the SASA’s Ken Gunn division, he will play a utility role in Prince Albert, while Ryan Smith from Shellbrook will play in the infield.
The team will be training/playing in Saskatoon for 8 days June 26, to July 3rd. (Please see attached itinerary) They will kick things off on Tuesday, June 26th, with a double header at Bob Van Impe Stadium against Saskatoon Tint Centre Cubs and Delisle Diamond Dogs. Although Saskatoon will be their base they will also have doubleheaders in Bruno, Warman and Regina.

The Jr. Men’s’ National Team will show their appreciation for Saskatoon’s hospitality by hosting the Team Canada Skills Camp for U12 & U14 Boys at Bob Van Impe Stadium on Tuesday, July 3rd at 2:00. Later that evening they will wrap up their preparations with a double header at Bob Van Impe Stadium against the SASA’s top men’s team, Saskatoon Poly Plus Angels.
