The King and His Court in Hingham

The Dykstra Engineering Fastpitch team has invited the King and His Court
to play a game of fastpitch softball at the Hingham Athletic Field in
Hingham, WI on Friday, May26th.  The event is being used as a fundraiser for
the Dykstra Engineering team so that they can play at higher level
tournaments such as NAFA (North American Fastpitch Association) Nationals
which will be held in Appleton/Kimberly, WI this year.  The Dykstra team is
made up of a number of players from various teams in the Hingham Fastpitch
League.
The King and His Court consists of only 4 players; a pitcher, catcher,
shortstop, and firstbaseman.  The team started on a dare in 1946 and has
been playing 9 men teams ever since.  This is the King's (Eddie Feigner)
farewell tour.  Although the King does not pitch anymore, he still is the MC
of the event and loves to work the crowd, players, and umpires.  This is a
great oppurtunity to say "thank you" to the king for all that he has done
for the game of fastpitch.
Prior to the King and His Court vs Dykstra Engineering game there will be
a Hingham All-stars of Yesterday vs the Hingham All-stars of Today.  The
"Oldtimers" team will consist of former fastpitch standouts that used to
play in Hingham.  The "Current All-stars" will consist of 2-3 players from
each of the 8 teams that make up the league.  This will give the fans a
chance to see some of there favorite players from the past one last time.
It will also give the league a chance to display some of it's best talented
players.  The Hingham Leauge is one of the longest running leagues in the
state and is by-far the youngest.  I would estimate the average age to be
about 25 years old.
During the games there will be a hamburger/brat fry.  In between games we
will be asking anyone that has ever played fastpitch in Hingham to step onto
the field for a group photo.  Although this is a men's fastpitch league, we
have invited many local high school girls fastpitch teams to attend.  We
will be drawing a name from all of the girls fastpitch players to have an at
bat during the King and His Court game.
Tickets will sell for $5 in advance and $6 at the gate.  They will be sold
at the Hingham Fastpitch regular season games, Hopemans Inc., A.C. Signs, and
Cedar Grove Piggly Wiggly.
I would recommend buying tickets in advance because there is a chance that
this event might get sold out.  Just a note, we are bringing in additional
bleachers to the Hingham Field.

The All-star game will start at 6:30 and the King and His Court game will
start at 8:00.  Each game will last 5 innings.
