REPORT:

Al,

Here is the update from the Irma Qualifier.

Rain had quite an effect on the games.  Rescheduling because of field conditions a few times.  Game timing decreased with loss of time because of rain.

They have 4 fields and were hosting 3 tournaments at the same time.  ISC Qualifier on the main diamond ( Senior Men's teams), Intermediate Men's Tournament on Diamond #2, and a Ladies Tournament on Diamonds #3 & #4.

The players, coaches and some parents of Irma Tigers were responsible for doing all the grounds keeping on all 4 diamonds.

When I got there Saturday morning One of the teams ( Delisle) pulled out the day before and the bracket had changed.  Now only 5 teams

The first game had just ended and the second one had just started when I asked for the score sheets from the first game to make up a summary box score.

They had no official scorers...They stated that one of the players (Kyle Parsons) was supposed to be looking after the Tournament logistics but his wife just had a baby a day or so beforehand and that scorekeeping fell by the wayside.

Mike Soucy then asked the teams to keep score and I continually ran around after the score sheets to take photos of them with my phone.  I never ever got anything for game one between Calahoo and Bruno.  I got the score and pitchers from my brother Trevor.

Because of the rain on Sunday late in the day the final 3 teams:

Irma Tigers Undefeated at 2-0 and in Championship Game were waiting for Bulyea Rustlers ( Coming through Losers Baracket) to Play the Grande Prairie Pirates (who just lost Winner's Bracket Final to Irma).

All three teams agreed to split the prize money instead of waiting around a couple of hours to play (when rain would have stopped and get fields ready)...as all but Irma had to travel a good distance to return home.

At the time of the agreement :
1 Irma Tigers
2 Grande Prairie
3 Bulyea Rustlers
4 Calahoo Chiefs
5 Bruno Merchants
