DeMo EHS wons its exhibition series opener against Dutch National Champion Storks Saturday 11-5.
9 runs in the first five innings of Storks starting pitcher Ed Hoet. All runs came from HR's, 6 in total. Michel Groenhart (2hr's, 4 RBI's), Etienne Meijer, Jeffry Visser, Rody Stam and pitcher Erwin Visser. 2 more runs were added of reliever Steven Ketting.
Storks scored three runs on a deep HR of the bat of Ronald Romijn. Erwin Visser (DeMo EHS) pitched a good game so early in the season. Coming Saturday DeMo EHS will play Brasschaat Braves (Belgium).
DeMo EHS will participate in the ISF World Cup in Prague, CZ in June and will defend its European Cup title in Liberec, CZ in August. We will add some extra strength for both tournaments. Names will follow.
