USA Softball teams up with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation for the second year to fight childhood cancer

OKLAHOMA CITY – USA Softball is proud to continue a joint partnership with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF) in the fight against childhood cancer at the USA Softball International Cup.  Members of the 2019 USA Softball Women’s National Team (WNT) will wear specially designed uniforms, designed by Nike, the exclusive apparel provider of the USA Softball WNT. The WNT is slated to wear NPCF-themed jerseys in their July 6 game against Mexico, slated for 12 p.m. ET.   “USA Softball is proud to continue our partnership with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation for this special cause,” said USA Softball Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Craig Cress.  “With the success of last year’s auction, we are looking forward to seeing members of the Women’s National Team in their NPCF-themed jerseys as we raise awareness and fight for a cure for childhood cancer.”    “The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation is proud to partner with USA Softball,” said National Pediatric Cancer Foundation CEO, Dave Frazer.  “We encourage Americans to support pediatric cancer patients by learning more and donating to the cause.  We thank the USA Softball National Team athletes and organization for their efforts to help kids in need.  It is our hope that all kids will grow up and have the chance to play softball and live a full and productive life.  The funds raised from the sale of the special jerseys will directly support our research projects.”   Game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off through the NPCF starting today through July 31, 2019.  By visiting NationalPCF.org/USASoftball, fans can bid on one-of-a-kind autographed jerseys while helping support an organization dedicated to increasing the survival rate of children battling cancer.     For more information on the USA Softball International Cup, please visit USASoftballInternationalCup.com.   Note: Per NCAA rules, items worn by and only signed by athletes with remaining college eligibility cannot be auctioned off at this time.Â
