A team spearheaded by Bill Simpson which includes local talent from the Owen Sound area is looking for Exhibition games prior to the ISC World Tournament. The local team is looking to include players from the Owen Crunch, Port Elgin Blue Devils, and former Owen Sound Selects. Last year the Czech Republic and Denmark squads came to Owen Sound. The local squad took both ends of the doubleheaders. Some players on the local team included Frank Cox, Trevor Wardell, Rob Fawcett, Ryan Thompson, Ken Kivell, Mike Riley and Mike Taylor.
Any ISC or ISC II teams (from Canada or the United States) interested in coming to Owen Sound for some exhibition games prior to the World Tournament can contact the email address below. Further details and arrangements can be discussed at that time.
Dates: Tuesday August 7th (7:00 and 9:00 p.m.)
Wednesday August 8th (7:00 and 9:00 p.m.)
All proceeds will go to the Owen Sound Midget Selects Fastball Team.
